Art All Day, Artworks’ fifth annual free open studio and creative space tour, will take place throughout Trenton from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12.
Visitors can view art in historic Trenton homes, a jazz club, a coffee shop, an arts center, the Roebling Wire Works, an urban farm and more.
Artworks’ Trenton will feature open studios, demos and live painting, a show in the main gallery, and food trucks. Visitors will be able to park for free at Artworks, pick up a free map, and go to 23 sites around the city, meeting over 85 artists and taking in their work. Throughout the afternoon there will be guided walking, bicycle and trolley tours that will start at Artworks and take visitors to the city’s newest murals, artist studios and creative spaces.
“I’m always amazed by the creativity and accomplishment of Trenton’s artist community, but this year I was really wowed by the incredible ways artists, businesses and community groups are re-imagining communal spaces in the city,” said Artworks Executive Director Lauren Otis. “The William Trent House, Candlelight Lounge, Trenton Circus Squad, Championship Bar & Grill, Trenton Coffee House and Roaster, Galeria Casa Cultura, you can’t believe what people are doing here in Trenton until you come see for yourself. Art All Day provides a perfect opportunity to safely and easily explore this wonderful side of the city.”
Following the open studio tour throughout Trenton, there is a free reception at Artworks from 6 to 8 p.m.
Artworks is Trenton’s visual art center, connecting community, culture and creativity through the arts. Artworks is located in downtown Trenton at 19 Everett Alley, Trenton, NJ 08611.
