The Greenwood Ave Farmers Market will celebrate its final day of the season with a community fall festival today, Oct. 26th.
Geared towards adults and children of all ages, the event will include free pumpkin recipe tastings, free apple cider samples, pumpkin painting, scarecrow making, spooky story time, games, and giveaways.
“We’ve had an amazing inaugural season for the Greenwood Avenue Farmers Market,” said Marissa Davis, project manager for the New Jersey Partnership for Healthy Kids. “Closing our season with a fall Festival is our way of saying thanks to the community and providing a festive occasion for residents to join us once more for fresh food, fun, health activities, giveaways and more.”
The market, located at 427 Greenwood Avenue near the Trenton Transit Center, will be open from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
SNAP/EBT, WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition coupons are accepted; these customers can also redeem any remaining “Good Food Bucks” matching farmers market coupons they may still have for the purchase of fruits and vegetables.
