Mayor Appoints New Trenton School Board Member

Trenton Mayor Eric Jackson today appointed Gene Bouie to the Trenton School Board. He will fill a vacant seat on the board with a term that ends in May of 2018.

Bouie is a Senior Director at the Educational Testing Service, where he has been since 2008. He has a bachelor’s degree in the arts and social sciences from Thomas Edison State University.

“Mr. Bouie is an accomplished and dedicated citizen who I believe brings tremendous value to the Trenton School Board and to our collaborative efforts to continue building on the progress that our teachers, administrators and students have made,” said Mayor Jackson

Jackson has made five appointments to the Trenton School Board since taking office in 2014.  He reappointed attorney Jason Redd, and appointed banking industry executives Fiah Gussin and Guillermo Gomez Salazar, and human resources manager Diedrick Graham to the board that year. Last year, he reappointed educator Jane Rosenbaum.
