The moon is waning and the Scales of Libra have arrived just in time to preside over the trials and tribulations of a City where everyone is some sort of enemy and we are a long way off from constructive discussions about the power of language, let alone restorative justice. A Cardinal sign, Libra is charged with the initializing energy that comes with the start of a season, making it the perfect time to cultivate common ground and assess the value of our assets and liabilities. The worth of a shopping center? The efficacy of a recall petition? The price of a street fair? The cost of national media shame? But regardless of where we weigh in on any given issue, remember that our ancestors used this golden stretch of autumn to commune and connect before the onset of winter, reinforcing the bonds and goodwill that will sustain us through the inhospitable months when we are sitting at home plotting the demise of our adversaries and foes.
